Robin Jedlicka - Instructor / Owner
Owner of the studio for the past 11 years, Robin has been with Fred Astaire Studios since 1992. Born in the Czech Republic, Robin has been dancing for 24 years. He has competed all over Europe and specializes in the International Standard Style of Dance. Robin's love of dance and patience for his students is clear on every lesson. Robin holds a degree in electrical engineering from Czech University in Prague, but his passion for teaching and dancing has kept him here.
April LeBorgne - Instructor
April has been with Fred Astaire Dance Studios for 9 years. She is currently assistant manager at the studio and has her goals set on opening her own Fred Astaire Dance Studio within 2 years. April is excellent with new students and truly enjoys sharing her love of dance with others. She and her partner enjoy competing in American Rhythm & Theater Arts. April spends her free time researching & writing a historical novel, and enjoys yoga.
Alberto Peart - Instructor
Alberto Carlos Peart was born in Topeka Kansas, and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. Alberto has been dancing since middle school and has been involved in various dance shows around the area and in New York. He has been with Fred Astaire for 3 years and enjoys teaching students of all levels. Alberto is currently a student at Westfield State College majoring in Mass Communication for the Media Arts. Outside of work, Alberto is involved in filmaking, acting, and writing. Haily Chamberlain - Instructor Haily grew up in northern Vermont and has studied various forms of dance and martial arts throughout her life. She began ballroom dancing with the Northeastern University Ballroom Dance Team in 1998 where she competed in American and International styles at intercollegiate competitions for three years. She then joined the Yale ballroom team for a year and continued to compete at college competitions.
Hailey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Besides her love for dance, Hailey enjoys biking, downhill skiing, and just about anything that gets her outside. She is excited to join our team and looks forward to sharing her passion for dance! Christopher J. Kane - Instructor Chris is originally from Foxborough MA and moved to Western MA to attend Umass Amherst. Chris has been studying dance for eight years now. He has trained in many genres ranging from jazz & modern to ballet & tap. Chris is also actively involved with musical theatre. He has studied voice for nine years and has been performing since his middle school days. Altogether Chris has been involvedd with thirty musical productions. Choreographing and performing are two activities that are very close to his heart. Chris proposed his own major at Umass entitled Business Management for Theatre Education in the hopes of opening his own performing arts school one day. Ballroom dancing has always been an interest of his and he hopes to inspire that same interest and love of dancing in all his students!
